Who we are

American Trucking Insurance Services LLC is a Georgia insurance agency, licensed by the Georgia Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire (agency license #240411). The office is at 3013 E Walnut Ave in Dalton, on the I-75 freight corridor between Atlanta and Chattanooga.

The agency was built for owner-operators and small fleets. Small trucking companies often get quoted by an agent who knows one or two markets and stops there. We shop virtually every carrier you qualify for, and we explain the differences so you can make an informed decision.

How we work

We look at your record before we quote it

Every account starts with a review of what an underwriter will see:

• Your CAB report and FMCSA safety record, for violations that are quietly raising your price
• Your business structure, for setups that limit which markets will write you
• Your current coverage terms, especially the exclusions and sublimits that matter at claim time
• Your FMCSA insurance filing, to make sure the right limits are on record for your authority

We shop the markets that fit your operation

Trucking risks vary widely. A new authority, a dump operation, a reefer fleet and a long-haul owner-operator do not belong with the same carriers. We submit your operation to the admitted trucking markets that fit it, and to specialty markets when a standard carrier passes.

Two quotes with the same limits can cover very different things. We walk you through the radius, commodity, driver and equipment terms before you sign, and we tell you when coverage you are buying will not do what you think it will.
