The short version

We collect what you type into our forms, what you tell us by phone or email, and basic technical data about website visits.
We use it to answer you, and to quote and place insurance you ask for.
To get you quotes, we share your details with insurance companies and the wholesale brokers that represent them. We do not sell your information.

1. Who we are

American Trucking Insurance Services LLC ("ATIS," "we," "us") is a Georgia insurance agency at 3013 E Walnut Ave, Dalton, GA 30720 (agency license #240411). This policy covers this website, its forms, and the calls and emails that come from them. It is written for people and businesses in the United States.

2. Information we collect

What you give us. Quote form: USDOT number, number of trucks, cargo type, renewal month, name, email, phone and any notes. Contact form: name, phone, email, USDOT number (optional) and your message. To prepare a quote we may also ask for driver lists, equipment lists, loss runs and current policy documents.

Facebook and Instagram lead forms. If you fill out an ATIS form inside a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta sends us what you enter there: typically your name, phone, email, USDOT number, number of trucks, current insurance company and renewal month. Meta's own privacy policy covers what Meta collects on its apps.

What we collect automatically. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time). This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add any, we will update this policy first.

Public records. We look up motor carriers in public FMCSA records (company details, contact details, insurance filings and safety history) to prepare quotes and to reach trucking companies about their insurance.

3. How we use it

To answer your request and to quote, place and service the insurance you ask for.
To contact you by phone or email about your request.
To run and protect this website.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed insurance agency.

4. How we share it

Insurance companies and wholesale brokers, to get you quotes and to place coverage you choose.
Partner insurance agencies. We quote and bind only where we hold a license. If your business is in another state, we introduce you to a licensed partner agency and share your details with them so they can quote you.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to show our ads. We send Meta scrambled (hashed) business contact details taken from public FMCSA records, so our ads reach trucking companies. Meta uses them only to match accounts for our ads. To be left out, call (762) 201-2464.
Service providers that run our website, forms and email, only to provide their service to us: Cloudflare (website hosting) and Google (email, and receiving website form requests).
Regulators and courts, when the law requires it.
A buyer of the agency, if the business is sold, who must keep honoring this policy.

We do not sell your information to data brokers or list sellers.

5. How long we keep it

Quote requests and messages are kept as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and for as long as insurance record-keeping rules require. Client files are kept for the period Georgia law and our carrier agreements require.

6. How we protect it

The site uses HTTPS. Only the people who need your information to do their job can see it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires. Please do not send Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, dates of birth or bank details through the website.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete what we are not required to keep, or stop contacting you. Call (762) 201-2464 or write to us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

This site is for trucking businesses and the adults who run them. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above.
